Hardox steel plate and bimetallic wear plate, which is better to be used the liner plate for hopper in cement mill ?

Normally, people prefer to source Hardox steel plate as abrasive wear resistance steel plate taking cost into the consideration. Yes, we must say Hardox plate has good toughness and good price compared with chromium carbide cladding steel plate, however Hardox plate is poor on wear resistance performance in Cement mill Hopper applications. In the same working conditions, bimetallic chromium carbide overlay plate can work approx 3-5 times better than that as per our experience for cement mill applications, in this case, we can greatly reduce machine shut down time.
